Friends of the Eagan Core Greenway is a non-profit citizens' organization dedicated to the preservation of Eagan's expansive and environmentally sensitive green space.
The mission of Friends of the Eagan Core Greenway is to:
- Promote the protection of Patrick Eagan Park;
- Support the preservation of adjoining properties in their natural, undeveloped state, including the establishment of the Eagan Core Greenway ;
- Raise funds for the acquisition of undeveloped neighboring parcels;
- Provide information to the community for a greater awareness and appreciation of Patrick Eagan Park as well as Eagan's Core Greenway
- The Eagan Core Greenway represents over 400 acres found along a two mile length of undeveloped, open space between Patrick Eagan Park and Lebanon Hills Park to the south;
- Organize and encourage volunteer participation in the Park, while promoting stewardship and ecological studies;
- Reflect and represent the views of a multiplicity of park users;
- Collaborate with other local environmentally minded groups and schools to strengthen our network of green space preservation resources.
